Could Your Company Profit from Internet Marketing?
Ever wonder if expanding your business online is worth it? Think about this: Everyone uses the internet these days, and I mean EVERYONE, odds are if you are reading this you are on the internet too. From gathering information to watching funny cat videos, using the internet is a daily or even hourly activity we are all too familiar with. So, can your company profit from internet marketing? The obvious answer is yes!
One thing we hear all too often is “My company doesn’t need an online presence, marketing or SEO.” This couldn’t be farther from the truth. If you have a business, in order for it to thrive, you NEED and online presence and some form of marketing in order to be found. Look it up for yourself, there are virtually no existing reasons in which online marketing and be even slightly negative.
Many people tend to think they can get away with doing things on their own. In some cases, it may work out if you already have a large following from other networks, but in most instances, you may not be doing as well as you may think.
You are not active
This point is simple enough. You may have a site and online accounts, but if you are not using them, and they sit there inactive then you might as well not even have them. Your audience needs to become accustomed to seeing your posts and updates regularly, as the saying goes, “out of sight, out of mind.”
You don’t interact with your audience
The intent of having social media profiles for your business is to engage with your customers and audience. The consumers need to see you as a human, not just a company. When comments are left, respond to them! If you receive a message, make it a priority to respond as quickly as possible. If you see different things becoming more popular with your audience, prioritize those types of posts because that’s probably what the audience wants. You should always give the consumer what the consumer wants.
You aren’t making your resources worth your while
You have business resources on social networks: boost posts on Facebook, advertise on Twitter, create sponsored posts on Linkedin, etc. Use them, but also use the cost-free tactics I already talked about. You would be surprised how many people in your target audience you can reach just by taking advantage of the resources available for free and at minimal costs online.
Finally, if your business is online but isn’t using it to the full potential, there is no need to stress. It is no too late for customers and clients to come to you from a proper internet marketing strategy. If your company is not online, there is no time to waste.
